Built on the same principles of the legendary Chisholm Trail Bale Bed and adhering to the same strict build quality and materials, the Rancher Bale Bed will give you all it has and then some.
Standard Features
New Power Unit
A new, faster electric over hydraulic power unit is standard with every Rancher Bale Bed. With piloted check valves on each hydraulic circuit and a 22 percent faster pump, the Rancher Bale Bed will move your hay safely and faster than ever before.
Synchronized Arm Cylinders
The Rancher Bale Bed uses phasing arm cylinders to create synchronized arm movement. Unlike the independent arm control of the Chisholm Trail Bale Bed, the Rancher Bale Bed arms go in and out together. It’s a simpler, more economical system.
Free-Float Arm System
The free-float arm system allows you to unroll hay while maintaining full contact with the ground over rough terrain. This function helps to prevent skips and thick blankets of hay, allowing even distribution of feed and reducing waste.
Locking Valve System
The power unit on every Rancher Bale Bed utilizes piloted check valves on all hydraulic circuits, ensuring a safe way to haul and unroll hay.

The Rancher Bale Bed is available in nine different sizes:
37N Dump Flatbed
7′ wide x 7’4″ long
The 37N bed fits single wheel trucks with a 37.5” cab to axle measurement.
42N Bale Bed
7′ wide by 7’8″ long
The 42N bed fits single wheel trucks with a 42” cab to axle measurement. These trucks are referred to as “shortbed” trucks.
56N Bale Bed
7′ wide x 8’10″ long
The 56N bed fits single wheel trucks with a 56″ cab to axle measurement. These trucks are referred to as “longbed” trucks.
60N Bale Bed
7′ wide x 8’10” long
The 60N bed fits a cab and chassis one-ton truck with single wheels and a 60″ cab to axle measurement.
37W Dump Flatbed
8′ wide x 7’4″ long
The 37W bed fits dual wheel trucks with a 37.5” cab to axle measurement.
42W Bale Bed
8′ wide x 7’8″ long
The 42W bed fits dual wheel trucks with a 42″ cab to axle measurement. These trucks are referred to as “shortbed dually” trucks.
56W Bale Bed
8′ wide x 8’10” long
The 56W bed fits a dual wheel truck with a 56″ cab to axle measurement. These trucks are referred to multiple ways: “dually bed” or “bed delete” trucks.
60W Bale Bed
7’8″ wide x 9’10” long
The 60W bed fits a dual wheel cab and chassis truck with a 60″ cab to axle measurement. These trucks are referred to as “cab chassis” trucks.
84W Bale Bed
8′ wide x 11’10″ long
The 84W bed fits dual wheel cab and chassis trucks with an 84” cab to axle measurement.

Warranty
C5 Manufacturing has an excellent reputation for quality and workmanship. If you feel a component has not lasted to your expectation, please contact us at Prairie States Seed. These concerns will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
Warranty applies to the original purchaser; products manufactured by C5 Manufacturing are warrantied to be free of defects in material and craftsmanship for a period of two years from the date of purchase. There will be NO warranty if the bed is installed by an unauthorized dealer.
Specific warranties:
- Power unit and valve manifold have two-year warranty
- Bale arms have lifetime warranty
- Any engine driven pump system has that company’s full warranty, if any.
C5 Manufacturing also warrants the purchased parts to be free from defects for the period as set by the parts said manufacturer. If any part, as determined by C5 Manufacturing, is found to be defective, the labor and the part to be replaced or repaired will be borne by C5 Manufacturing.
All shipping and handling are the consumer’s responsibility. For replacement parts, please contact Prairie States Seed. Warranty for replacement or repair shall not extend the original warranty period. C5 Manufacturing does not warrant against normal wear or damages caused by abuse, negligence, poor maintenance or operation beyond the rated capacities. The warranty card must be completed and returned to C5 Manufacturing within 30 days of purchase.
